What are Automatic Gates? 

Automated gates are power-operated metal sheets that consist of many parts to satisfy the owner. The purpose of the automatic gates is to control access. Sometimes it depends on the environment like seasonal changes and temporary alternatives. Mostly Automatic gates are used to restrict unauthorised vehicle access across the site. 

The operation of the gate is done by the gate operator. The permission of the gate operator is required to pass from the gate. No one can pass through the gate without permission. 

  • This is a type of normal sliding gate but it is controlled automatically by the technology which is built inside the gate. This type of gate can be used in normal public places like shopping complexes, hospitals, etc.

  • This type of gate is opened from one side and another side is welded. So, the action is more like a normal door. This type of gate is used in normal independent houses, apartments/buildings, or normal locality purposes. Because of its low cost, swinging gates are preferred for homely purposes.

  • Boom gates are also called barrier arm gates. The opening/closing action depends on the vertical motion of the barrier arm. This is generally used in toll gates, parking lots, offices, malls, etc.

  • Working principles of these gates are also the same as boom gates or barrier arm gates. When Boom gates are used for commercial purposes it is called Commercial boom gates. Some examples are tollgates, parking lots, etc. When Boom gates are used for Industrial purposes then it is called Industrial Boom gates.

  • Turnstile gates will allow one after the other. These are used for enforcing one-way human trafficking. These can be used in places like ticket collection, toilets, public transport, etc.
